Assistant Curate at St Paul's from June 2021
We are excited to share the news that the Bishop of London in conversation with St Paul's PCC has invited Donna McDowell to serve as Assistant Curate at St Paul's Church following her ordination as Deacon in June 2021.
Donna comes to us from St Paul’s Cathedral where she has been working for the past 7 years as Head of Schools & Family Learning. Prior to that she spent 7 years teaching Religious Studies and Philosophy in Croydon. She grew up on a rural council estate in Northern Ireland, and lived in Japan and Canada for 10 years before coming to London 15 years ago and making it her home. She is excited to explore a different part of the city and to get to know the parish.
Donna says: “I love how integrated St Paul’s Marylebone is in the local community, how it seeks to serve through its involvement in multiple community outreach programmes and interfaith partnerships, and how it nurtures faith through prayer and discipleship as well as service. I am really looking forward to meeting you all, and to working with you as your curate, and walking alongside you as a fellow follower of Christ."
Please join us in praying for Donna as she prepares for ordination over the coming months and for our community as we look forward to welcoming Donna among us.
